The study was carried out to investigate the acute toxicity in ICR mice of both sexes exposed to diphenyl butylamido phosphate (Posan-PYROCHECKER PE), an anti-pyrolysis agent. Six groups of mice were administered orally with 0 1.57, 2.45, 3.84, 6.0, 9.37g/㎏ body weight (b.w.) of Posan-PYROCHECKER PE. The median lethal dose (LD_(50)) values of male and female ICR mice treated with Posan-PYROCIIECKER PE were estimated 6.39g/㎏ b.w., and 6.69g/㎏, b.w., respectively. Abnormal clinical signs related to the compound were not observed and low mortality was appeared. Gross findings of necropsy revealed no evidence of specific toxicity related to Posan-PYROCHECKER PE, Changes of body weight were not significant between treated groups and control group.
